One last round: Scottish statues

A statue of a mathematician? Scotland says "aye."

Just around the corner from him, we found this squirrel:


Adam Black's statue has gulls on it so often, the photo of him in Wikipedia features one.  He was a publisher who was involved in producing the 7th and 8th editions of Encyclopedia Britannica and the Waverly novels.  Not to be confused with Black Adam
