The exploration of Salzburg

Even through the window of my dorm, the scenery in Salzburg was magnificent.

We tagged along again with the Angels, exploring the old-town of Salzburg.

Fountains and cobbled streets fill the old town.  With a lack of any better plans, we made for high-ground, heading to the fortress.

The castle is one of the largest in Europe, and from it we could see the entire basin.  There were also a number of displays which figured into the castle's history.  Next to the catapult gate, we found a recreated pile of ammunition.

While the views were magnificent, getting up to the fortress was an effort.  We could have taken the funicular, but where's the fun in that?

In 1996 all of Vienna's old town was heritage listed, and it's easy to see why.

When we came down (by Funicular) the city proved to be very pretty, and very quiet.  I got a lot of rest.  The Liar got sick.
