Idaho? Sure, why not...

It's a tricky thing getting up early after a handful of scotches, but we managed it.  We said our final farewells to the Talk, who was on his way to San Fransisco, and had some breakfast.  As we left we noticed a small protest in front of our hotel.  It was a pity we were leaving; we all felt we could do with a bit of a march and chant.
We were unclear whether the bosses were the fat cats or the dirty rats.
The drive from Las Vegas to Twin Falls, Idaho was as flat as it was uneventful.  While the whole area is surrounded by mountains, the area we drove through is a fridge shelf; flat, featureless and cold.  It was on this drive we broke our habit of eating at road stops and drove into the town of Ely for lunch.  I'm glad we did.
Idaho is completely surrounded by mountains.
The food was so much better, I can't believe we haven't done it before.  It's become our new pattern since then.

We arrived in Twin Falls after dark, checked into our motel and found a sports bar within walking distance.  There we arrived just in time to watch Tony Romo get snapped by the mighty Giants defensive line, and the subsequent collapse of the Cowboys season.  A good night was had.
